What’s happening in American politics when Al Sharpton and Pat Robertson share air time to preach on the dangers of global warming? Both Barack Obama and John McCain agree climate change should be a priority for the next administration. And Gov. Bill Ritter has made clean-energy mandates a hallmark of his “new energy economy.” Are “green” policies as important as candidates make them out to be? And how far should government go in regulating individuals and businesses to bring about environmental change? Is “doing it for Mother Earth” the new “Do it for the children”?
To help answer these questions we’ll be joined by panelists Calla Ostrander, who helped start Aspen’s municipal carbon-credit system, the first of its kind in the country, and Paul Chesser, of the John Locke Foundation’s “Climate Strategies Watch.” Additional panelists will be announced this week as confirmed. Brad Jones (Face The State) will act as Moderator.
