Thank You Thursday: End of ‘Southern Style’ Leg

I often lose track of the days while traveling and meeting so many great folks. It’s only when doing these Thank-you Thursday posts that I’m reminded that another week has passed. We’re now out of Alabama and kicking off our Eastern Excursion which will take us from Atlanta to the Free State Project’s Porc Fest 09′.
As I’m sure you noticed we’ve been a bit busy Pimping MARV and the Jones County incident. But this past Monday we said our good-bye(s) to Tom Pearson and Kevin Stansbury in Birmingham. They were extremely kind to us as MHD ‘invaded’ their home for a little over a week. They allowed us to paint MARV in their back yard, sleep indoors, shower and borrow their cars. They showed us a good time out on the town and where the best BBQ was located. Tom and Kevin: thank you both for all you did while we were in the ‘ham.
But now it’s time to get back on the road and roll north. Already, in this short work week, we have covered two eminent domain issues, met and interviewed two scholars from the Ludwig von Mises Institute (be on the lookout!) and held a great meetup on the outskirts of Auburn.
I would like to take a moment to thank those who have made donations and contributions this past week:
- Chris Brunner from Auburn, AL who bought all the food for the cook out and did a great job organizing it.
- Catherine Priester, also from Auburn, AL, who hosted us and other local libertarians on her family’s property.
- Ben Johnson from Griffin, GA who took the MHD crew out to lunch.
- The East Metro Atlanta Libertarian Party and Jason Pye for pizza and sweet tea.
- Charles Guercio from Stagecoach, NV who gave $10
- The Carpenter Shop from Oklahoma City, OK who gave $40
- Mitchell Port from Dunwoody, GA who gave $10
- Carl Casey from Jonesville, VA who gave $10
- Diana Glockner from Nurmber, Germany who gave $15
- Matthew Brockner from Germantown, WI who gave $100
Thanks so much to all of you for keeping us rolling along, spreading freedom along the way. If you’d like to to put some gas in our tank, etc. we would be most greatful.
