The Importance of the Point-Person
The sign posted at the front door of Bailey's – the location Jeremy Horpedahl selected for the Motorhome Diaires DC meetup.
One of the ways we seek to introduce and deepen the ideas of liberty to people is by holding meetups in the cities and towns we visit. Though each meetup differs it is not unusual for us to be joined by those in our networks and those of our allies and some area folks not active with any formal organization.
All of this would not be possible without the point-person on the ground. The point-person is usually someone already known to us and trusted, but at other times it’s someone recommended by a friend or someone that just steps up. For all y’all wondering what makes an ideal point-person – it varies, but there are two key qualities:
- the ability to locate a venue that has parking nearby for MARV and is relatively close to transit hubs/subway etc.
- the interest to help loop-in other fans of freedom or those that may be receptive to the ideas of freedom from the area
