Two scenarios came to mind. I confess I do not have the answer to these. What if Ms. Teresi had a great new job offer that she wanted to take. Even though the new company’s group insurance plan was with the same insurer her present company used, it was a different group. If Ms. Teresi were several months pregnant, would the new group policy cover her pregnancy or would it be a not covered preexisting condition? Or, what if she had, what was determined to be a begin lump removed, would the new policy exclude all future treatment should another lump appear?
