Making the Case for Freedom (From an Economic Perspective)
Are you a liberty activist who loves free markets, capitalism and limited government – but have a difficult time describing its myriad benefits and merits when talking with others? Do you wish you could gain insights into the basic fundamental principles of free market economics by attending a worthwhile educational course that lasts an afternoon? Would you benefit from having one-on-one contact with “liberty experts” in Colorado, in a setting where you can ask them all the questions you’d like about free market economics, current policies or the morality of freedom?
Then this is the educational training course for you!
Who Are the Facilitators?
In addition to the main facilitator, Jeff Proctor from the Charles Koch Institute, we will also be joined by Justin Longo, Diana Hsieh, Mike Krause, David K. Williams, Jessica Peck, and Ari Armstrong.
On Saturday, February 11th from 1:30-6:30pm, Liberty on the Rocks will team up with the Charles Koch Institute to present an exclusive hands-on, discussion and activity-driven economics session. During this half-day course, attendees will gain a better understanding of the case for freedom, as seen from an economic perspective. Through group discussion, activities, and an expert panel, participants will learn basic (yet vital) economic principles as well as historical arguments for why socialism doesn’t work – in addition to how to utilize these arguments in today’s battle for liberty. The philosophy of freedom will also be discussed briefly to point out the moral arguments for free market capitalism and self-interest.
The seminar will be immediately followed by a cocktail reception with complimentary drinks and appetizers for attendees, instructors and individuals on the panel. Light snacks and drinks will be available throughout the day.
The cost to attend is $10 and spaces are limited to 60 participants. To RSVP, purchase your ticket(s) on the right-hand side.
